Iluka

Iluka is an Aboriginal word meaning “by the sea”.

It’s a quaint fishing town at the mouth of Clarence River, with a population of 1,718 people. Iluka is an unpretentious town with its community bowling club, golf club, laid back cafes, restaurants, and for those young at heart, there is Iluka Nature Reserve to explore, hike, fish and swim. The main economy is driven by commercial fishing, so you can expect the oysters and prawns to be absolutely scrumptious.
